Krafton India has also not confirmed whether BGMI Lite will be available on Android, iOS or both platforms at launch. Details about the game’s technical requirements have similarly not been disclosed.
The company is yet to announce the expected download size, minimum hardware specifications, supported operating system versions, or RAM and storage requirements for BGMI Lite. These details are likely to be important for players looking to determine whether their existing smartphones and other supported devices will be able to run the new title.
It also remains unclear how closely BGMI Lite will resemble the existing Battlegrounds Mobile India experience. Krafton India has not confirmed whether the new game will feature the same maps, game modes and weapons available in BGMI.
Another unanswered question is whether existing BGMI players will be able to transfer their progress, inventory or other in-game data to BGMI Lite. Krafton India has not provided any information regarding progress transfer between the two titles.
The first-look artwork released alongside the announcement features the BGMI Lite branding and a “Coming Soon” message, without revealing additional gameplay or technical information.
With the launch planned for sometime before the end of 2026, Krafton India is expected to provide more information about BGMI Lite closer to its release. Details regarding its features, supported devices, availability, distribution channels and other technical requirements are yet to be announced.
