A Gujarat Police constable has resigned from government service and announced his decision to enter socio-political activism, citing his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Ramgar Mohangar Gosai, who was serving at the Adesar Police Station in East Kutch’s Gandhidham, announced his resignation in a video message. He said recent political developments, particularly the protests held at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), prompted him to reconsider his role in the police force.

Gosai said he had secured his government position after putting in considerable effort and dedication. However, he said his assessment of the developments surrounding the protests led him to make the decision to leave the service.
According to Gosai, measures taken by the Modi government in response to issues concerning the country’s youth influenced his decision. He said he wanted to move away from government employment and devote himself to what he described as social and national service.
In his video statement, Gosai said he was resigning as a police constable to extend his support to the Modi government and the RSS. He further expressed his intention to dedicate his life and service to the organisation, which he described as being committed to selfless service to the nation.
The former constable also announced an unusual personal pledge ahead of the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. He said he would not wear footwear until Narendra Modi returns to power in 2029.
Gosai’s resignation comes amid heightened political activity surrounding the recent Jantar Mantar protests. His decision to leave a government position he had worked hard to obtain and pursue socio-political activism reflects the personal nature of his stated political commitment.
