Arunachal CM Meets Amit Shah, Presents Decade-Long Development Report

Khandu has presented the state’s 10-year progress report to Union Home Minister Amit Shah

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and presented a comprehensive report outlining the development and progress achieved in the northeastern state during his decade-long tenure in public life.

Khandu shared details of the meeting in a social media post on Monday, stating that he briefed the Union Home Minister on several major development initiatives currently being undertaken across Arunachal Pradesh. The discussion also covered the government’s ongoing efforts to accelerate development in the strategically important frontier state.

According to Khandu, the meeting provided an opportunity to update Shah on various projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening infrastructure and improving the overall development landscape of Arunachal Pradesh. The Chief Minister also sought the Union Home Minister’s continued guidance and support for the state’s future development programmes.

Khandu expressed his appreciation for the support extended by the Centre and acknowledged Shah’s continued interest in the affairs of the northeastern region. He conveyed gratitude on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, particularly for what he described as the Home Minister’s consistent backing of efforts aimed at promoting peace, development and prosperity in the state.

The meeting assumes significance as Arunachal Pradesh remains strategically important because of its location along India’s international borders. Over the years, infrastructure development, connectivity, security and economic growth have remained key areas of focus for both the state and central governments.

The report presented by Khandu is understood to have highlighted the progress made during his tenure and the various initiatives undertaken by his administration. The Chief Minister’s interaction with Shah also underlined the importance of continued cooperation between the state and the Union Government in implementing major development projects.
