Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the appointment of new office-bearers to the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), with immediate effect.
As per the party’s announcement, Deborah C. Marak and Khranglin Lyngkhoi Tbn have been appointed as Working Presidents, while Saleng A. Sangma has been named Senior Vice President.

The party has also appointed Boniface Bamon, Dr Boldness L. Nongum and Dr Omarlin Kyndiah as Vice Presidents.
For the post of General Secretary, the Congress has appointed Wansuk Syem, Sanjay Das and Brigedy N. Marak.
The appointments were formally announced by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal in a press release dated August 16, 2026. The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening the party’s organisational structure in Meghalaya and ensuring effective functioning at the state level.
